Fafsa Agreement

FaFSA data is not part of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. It is owned by the U.S. Department of Education and is authorized to heAB provided it is only used to encourage and assist students in submitting FAFSA applications. Wisconsin is authorized to use HEAB data, provided DPI can enter into the same agreement with the districts. DPI may pass this data on to districts, provided districts comply with these restrictions. For aggregated data that is available to the public, please visit FAFSA Completion by High School and Public School District. To encourage students to apply, the Ministry of Education provides states with limited access to data in the form of the FAFSA application status for high school students, which allows school counsellors to help future graduates and encourage them to benefit from this program. To this end, DPI is working with the Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board (HEAB) to obtain such student data through a data exchange agreement and to transmit this data to districts via WISEdash for Districts. In accordance with the data exchange agreement, the data are only loaded for students currently enrolled or concluded in the year prior to the year in which the financial assistance was concluded, and only for districts that have signed and submitted a faFSA district sharing agreement. Note that national closing data reflects only all districts that have chosen this program, as data are not loaded for all Districts in Wisconsin. Like PALS and MAP data, districts wishing to access FAFSA data for students must sign a district FAFSA data-sharing agreement, scan it and send it to Julie Incitti of the DPI For Studies, Prevention and Wellness Services (SSPW) team. You need to open the pdf in adobe on your desktop to enter your neighborhood name and complete the digital signature.

After signing, please allow 15 business days until your application is processed so that FAFSA data from your district is forwarded to WISEdash. 9. I understand that if I withdraw from all classes before concluding 60% of the semester, or if I do not participate in a late class, I am obliged to make the undeserved portion of the financial aid received. If I buy books, accessories and/or a bus passport with my Pell Grant without taking courses, I must refund 100% of the fees to the bookstore and/or the IRS.
