Uvu Master Internship Agreement

All internship providers must have an authorized agreement before a student begins their internship. Contracts are valid for five years. Providers are not required to enter into a separate agreement for each student they host. If you have any questions about the current status of an agreement, you can send an email internships@uvu.edu. Internship providers are cordially invited to conclude the agreement at any time, even if they have not yet hired an intern. In many cases, a UVU student or staff member informs providers that they must complete the MIA by referring it to this page. Please note that only UVU Internship Services and the internship provider must complete the agreement. Students do not have to sign. All MIAs are signed electronically via Docusign. Do I have to make agreements when the internship is done at Utah Valley University? The Master Internship Agreement (MIA) is a legally binding contract between Utah Valley University (UVU) and the internship provider.

The agreement defines the responsibilities and expectations of the students, the supplier and the EIA. In addition, it serves to protect both the university and the internship provider from inappropriate behaviour at both ends. So I don`t need to enter into an individual agreement for each student who does an internship in my organization? My organization will not sign an agreement and has our own agreement that must be signed. Dave R. Woolstenhulme, Ed.D.
